The Kyoto University Research Administration Office, or KURA, consists of university research administrators (URA) who are professionals with diverse areas of expertise and experience. KURA facilitates the development of an environment where researchers are dedicated to their research work with a focus on planning and operating research projects and returning the benefits of research to society. Kyoto University has organized departmental URA offices for this purpose in eight campus sections to support research activities on campus. In 2016, a new organizational structure was launched in which all URA offices operate under one Research Administration Office, called KURA. We will work closely with various stakeholders to enable campus-wide collaboration for maintaining research excellence.
To contribute to Kyoto University’s excellence in academic achievement by cooperating with faculty and researchers, and become a leading research administration hub that brings together professionals with diverse capabilities.
