What made you decide to become a URA?

I decided to apply for URA when I realized that my broad research experience would be valuable not only in my own research but also in other fields. Around the same time, I saw a huge trend occurring with Japanese universities strengthening their research capabilities as well as promoting the professional development of research administrators.

Additional comments

  • At KURA, I am in charge of IR (Institutional Research) work in relation to research activities, such as visualization of research productivity at Kyoto University based on abstract citation database, etc. I am also responsible for the Kyoto University URA Training Curriculum which aims to improve research administration skills.
I enjoy photography and cherish every moment when taking a photo with my film camera. On weekends, I brew coffee, organize photos I have taken, and spend relaxing time with my family at home.
