What made you decide to become a URA?

I believe that university social responsibility is not only to convey knowledge gained through research and educational activities but also to return the outcomes to society. As a faculty member, I had been trying to contribute to society by fostering the next generation through research and educational activities. But the opportunity to work at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry made me want to actively engage in university-industry collaboration that would lead to returning research outcomes to society in another way. The research administration is an attractive profession as it enables me to be involved with research support at university and connects me to experts in different fields with utilizing my experience.

  • Research environment in universities has been radically changing. I aim to realize a better environment where researchers can concentrate on their research and cooperate with each other beyond age, research fields, gender, and industry or academia sectors.
