What made you decide to become a URA?

As a corporate researcher, I have been engaged in research and development related to electric power and energy. Though this job was challenging and enjoyable in itself, as I was exposed to a variety of cutting-edge research through industry-academia collaboration activities, I became interested in getting involved in a wide range of research in energy. Around the same time, I learned about the profession of URA and found it attractive, so I decided to apply. As a URA, I can benefit from what I learned in practice such as the perspective as a researcher and how to understand issues when putting research to practical use.
