Message for researchers

Improving visibility of research in social science and humanities and working towards an open and diverse research eco-system where international faculty members too can fully realize their potential are my two main tasks at KURA. My recent work also includes responsible research assessment and building networks with international book publishers.

Specialized field/skill

Area Studies, Political Science, Development Studies, International Cooperation

What made you decide to become a URA?

I joined KURA in 2016 after working for 8 years in New Delhi as an international development specialist at a bilateral aid agency. Working with diverse stakeholders including Japanese university researchers involved in collaborative projects in India has inspired me to take up the exciting challenges at KURA.
